Heritage Elementary School
Mission Statement: To inspire a student’s passion for learning, knowledge, and skills while building character and responsible citizenship.
Vision Statement: Excellence…Everyone…Everyday!
EACS Curriculum: The Heritage Elementary staff promotes developing strong academic, social, and emotional skills. Heritage Elementary follows Pat Davenport’s “8 Step Process” of continuous improvement, employing data-driven decision making and collaboration between teachers to improve academic achievement in their schools. This process incorporates a fluid EACS teacher-created curriculum, which is based on Indiana state academic standards. Students are part of the learning process by helping to set their year-end testing goals, allowing them to align their focus, motivation, momentum, and direction for academic growth.
Extra-Curricular Academic Opportunities: Student Council, Spell Bowl, Math Bowl, Spelling Bee, and Robotics all offer an academic challenge to our students. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in band, choir, Ukulele Club, piano lessons, and Art Club.
Extra-Curricular Sports: Intramurals (fall and spring), Running Club, and participation in junior high sports (6th graders). The high school also sponsors several additional opportunities for students to participate in flag and PAL football, basketball leagues / camps, and volleyball camps.
Principal: Mr. Stephen Walter, Jr.
