Hello Patriot Families!
As we embrace the blossoming of spring, it brings me great joy to share with you the wonderful achievements and endeavors of our students here at Heritage Elementary.
I am thrilled to announce that our students have shown remarkable growth in the recent NWEA English and Math testing. This is a testament to their resilience and commitment to learning, and it reflects the exceptional support they receive from our dedicated staff and parents.
As we venture into the month of April, we also embark on ILEARN for intermediate students, and end-of-year DIBELS testing for our primary students. I have every confidence that our students will approach these assessments with the same determination and enthusiasm they have shown throughout the year.
In addition to academic success, we are immensely proud of our students' creativity in the arts. The FAME Art Festival in downtown Fort Wayne showcased some truly outstanding artwork and a wonderful music performance from our choir. Furthermore, our inaugural Heritage's Got Talent Show was a resounding success, with our students delivering remarkable performances that left us in awe of their talents.
On a more somber note, it is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved music teacher, Ms. Pat West, who passed away over spring break. Ms. West was a cherished member of our Patriot Elementary team, and her passion for music and dedication to her students touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
As we continue through the remainder of the school year, let us carry forward the spirit of resilience, creativity, and compassion that defines our school community. Together, we will honor the memory of Ms. West and continue to spread kindness and uplift one another in both our triumphs and challenges.
Mr. Walter - Principal
